KPSC Information
Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) is the public service commission of the state of Karnataka which conducts state level civil services examinations for different posts in the state. KPSC conducts the civil services exam to fill in the vacancies in Groups A, B (Gazetted Prohibitions) C and D.
The KPSC recruitment process involves three stages- Prelims, Mains and Personality test. KPSC Prelims exam is the qualifying paper and those candidates who clear the Prelims will have to appear for the KPSC Mains exam followed by a personal interview.

What is KPSC 2022?
KPSC (Karnataka PSC) 2022 exam is conducted to recruit candidates for the various administrative posts in the Karnataka government. The Karnataka Public Service Commission has set a three-stage selection procedure for the KPSC exam:

KPSC 2022 Exam Pattern
One must be well aware of the KPSC Exam Pattern in order to ace the exam with the highest score. The Karnataka PSC exam will be conducted in three stages:

KPSC Prelims Exam Pattern 2022
The first stage of clearing the KPSC exam is the Preliminary Examination. A candidate has to appear for the objective test consisting of the Multiple Choice Questions in order to clear the KPSC exam.
- The preliminary examination consists of two papers.
- Each paper consists of Objective type questions or Multiple Choice type Questions.
- The marks obtained in the preliminary examination are not counted in merit. They are only qualifying in nature.

- There is a provision of negative marking. 0.25 marks are deducted for every incorrect answer.

KPSC Mains Exam Pattern 2022
The second stage of the KPSC recruitment process is the Mains Examination. The candidates who clear the Preliminary Examination are called for the Mains Examination. Preliminary Examination is of qualifying nature but marks obtained in Mains Examination are counted for merit.
- The written test consists of question papers that are of descriptive type, out of which one paper is of qualifying nature only.
- After clearing the mains examination with the criteria of qualifying marks, candidates are called for a personal interview.
- The question papers for the examination will be of descriptive type.
- Each paper will be for 3 hours.
- The language of the question papers in English. However, the language papers will be set in their respective languages
- KPSC Mains has 9 papers: 2 qualifying papers, 4 general papers and 2 optional papers.
- KPSC Mains papers consist of total marks of about 1750.

KPSC 2022 Selection Process
The selection of the candidates for the KPSC Recruitment 2022 is done in three stages- Prelims, Mains and Personality Test/Interview.
Stage 1: KPSC Prelims Exam
The KPSC Prelims exam will consist of two objective-type papers carrying 200 marks each. The prelims exam is qualifying in nature and the candidates who clear the KPSC Prelims exam will have to appear for the KPSC Mains exam.
